Roland has been working with young children since 2002, when he received an AA degree in child development from City College of San Francisco. He worked in a San Francisco parent cooperative preschool until beginning Skytown in 2008. Roland’s interest in child development was inspired by staying home with his young son and observing his growth. At CCSF he enjoyed learning about sensory integration and the integral role it plays in children’s development. He makes an effort to incorporate sensory rich activities in preschoolers’ daily experiences.
